Should Employees Tolerate Psychometric Testing

Employee_boundaries

As the employers get more and more savvy about hiring, they invariably adopt more comprehensive hiring methods. The psychometric test is one that has huge advantages for the employer but how good is it for the employee? The concern might be that the information goes beneath the surface and can reveal personality traits. The reality is that an informed employer will actually be able to manage you or whoever they hire better. By better I mean they can play to your strengths, bypassing a huge learning curve. If the boss knows you thrive on collaboration and are naturally inclined toward leadership, you may find yourself fast tracked up the ladder. A good job fit is more assured with psychometric testing. Opening up to the process can only benefit all the parties involved.

  1. I agree! I had to take numerical reasoning tests in my most recent interview process. I'm actually glad I did because the job is suiting me well.
